ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Microgrid

A microgrid is a small-scale local energy grid. It's like a mini power plant that produces electricity for a small area, like a neighborhood or a small town. The energy is produced by things like wind turbines, solar energy, and other sources. The microgrid then distributes the electricity to homes and businesses in the area. It can even store the electricity and switch between sources depending on what's available.
