Micronutrients

Micronutrients may be small, but they are very important! They are like the little helpers inside your body that help it work properly.

Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals that your body needs to grow, develop, and stay healthy. There are many different micronutrients, and each one has a special job to do.

Vitamins are like the alphabet letters that spell out words. Different vitamins help your body do different things. Vitamin C, for example, helps your body heal from cuts and bruises. Vitamin D helps your bones grow strong and healthy.

Minerals are like tiny puzzle pieces that make up your body. Different minerals help your body do different things. Calcium helps your bones and teeth grow strong. Iron helps your body make healthy red blood cells.

You can get micronutrients by eating healthy foods, like fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains. Sometimes, people take vitamin or mineral supplements to make sure they are getting enough micronutrients.

So remember, even though they are small, micronutrients are very important helpers for your body!
