Mode of production is a way people produce things like food, clothes, and other things they need. It is the way people organize the work they do, the tools they use, and the resources they have. Different societies have different modes of production. In traditional societies people make things with their own hands, like farming and hunting. In modern societies, people make things with machines in factories.
