ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Monarchomachs

Monarchomachs are a group of people who believe that the king or monarch is not the ultimate authority and that power should be shared among the people. Think of it this way - imagine you and your friends all have different toys, but you all want to play with them together. One of your friends says they should be in charge and get to decide who gets to play with what toy. But you and your other friends think that's not fair and that everyone should get a say in how to play with the toys. That's kind of how monarchomachs feel about a king or queen. They want to share power and decision-making with everyone, instead of just having one person in charge. Does that make sense?
