Money market fund

A money market fund is a type of mutual fund (a pool of money from lots of investors) that invests in certificates of deposit, government securities, and other money market investments. Money market funds are low-risk investments and usually pay higher interest rates than a regular savings account. Money market funds are a very safe way to invest your money, but because of their low risk, you won't see huge returns. It's like a savings account that pays more interest than your normal savings account.
