Monocle

Hey there little buddy, do you know what glasses are? They’re usually worn on your nose to help you see things better, right? Well, a monocle is like half of a pair of glasses that you only put in one eye!

Now, some people might think monocles are pretty fancy or something that only rich people wear. But really, they were more popular a long, long time ago. People used to wear them to help with their vision before glasses were as common as they are now.

A monocle is a little circle of glass that sits in a special holder or frame that you hold up to your eye. It stays in place because it's a little bit curved, which makes it stick to your eye like a suction cup.

Some people still wear monocles today for fun or as a part of their costume, but most people just stick with regular glasses or contacts because they are easier to wear and often cover both your eyes.
