Monsoon climate

Monsoon climate is a type of weather pattern that happens in certain parts of the world. It's like when you wake up in the morning and you see that it's really rainy outside, but then a few hours later, the sun comes out and it's hot and humid. That's kind of what happens in places with monsoon climate.

In the summer, warm moist air from the oceans blows towards land. This air brings a lot of rain with it, and it also causes the temperature to go up. This is what is called monsoon season. It's like when you blow on a balloon and it starts to get bigger.

During monsoon season, the rain can fall very heavily and for a long time. This can cause flooding and other problems. But just like how the sun comes out after the rain in the morning, in monsoon climate regions, there is a drier season after the monsoon season is over. During the drier season, it's still hot, but there's not as much rain.

Monsoon climate happens in different parts of the world, like in India, Southeast Asia, and Australia. These places can have very different cultures and traditions because of the monsoon climate. For example, in India, people celebrate a festival called Diwali during the drier season because it's a time of year when there's not as much rain and it's easier to travel and have outdoor celebrations.
