It recognizes the shared experience of Black people and their shared history of racism and oppression. Négritude encourages Black people to embrace their African heritage and find strength in it. It promotes pride in being Black and teaches Black people to reject negative stereotypes assigned to them. It emphasizes positive values such as unity, love, and culture. It emphasizes the importance of solidarity and collective struggle. To put it simply, it's about loving and being proud of your Blackness.
