Black Power movement

The Black Power movement was a civil rights movement in the 1960s and 1970s. It aimed to improve the lives of African American people by teaching them about their African culture, encouraging them to stand up for their rights and to protest against racism. It also encouraged African Americans to create businesses and support their own communities. Black Power activists demanded political and economic equality for African Americans, and sought to create a better future for their families and children.
