Nattō

Nattō is a food that is very popular in Japan. It is made by soaking and cooking soybeans, which are beans that grow on plants. After cooking, a special bacteria called Bacillus subtilis is added to the soybeans.

This bacteria makes the soybeans sticky and stringy, like a spiderweb. It also gives the beans a unique smell and taste that some people find delicious, while others don't like it very much.

Nattō is often eaten for breakfast in Japan, usually mixed with rice and some other yummy toppings like green onions or mustard. Some people also eat it as a snack or use it as a topping on sushi.

Even though nattō may not look or taste like something you've seen or tried before, lots of people really love it!
