A Nazirite is a special kind of person in the Bible. They are people who promise to be very special and holy in their life, and follow certain rules. They promise not to drink any alcohol, not to cut their hair, and not to eat any grapes or raisins. They stay this way for at least thirty days and sometimes for up to a year. At the end of their vow, they usually give a special offering to God, like a special animal or an expensive gift. They are special because they are showing God they are willing to give up things even if they don't have to.
