Neo-Stalinism

Neo-Stalinism is a type of government that is based on the same kind of rules and ideas as those used by Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union in the 1930s and 1940s. Stalin was known for his rule of fear and his extreme control over his people. Neo-Stalinism tries to copy some of these same ideas in different countries, but without any of the violence or abuses of power that Stalin used. Neo-Stalinism, like Stalin's time, favors a strong central government, and tight control over public life and the economy, under the direction of one strong leader. People don't get to have much say in what happens in the government. Neo-Stalinism's main purpose is to make sure that the country is developed, powerful and successful.
