Neutron probe

Neutron probes are like invisible X-rays that scientists use to check what's going on underground. They shoot out invisible particles called "neutrons" which travel into the ground and get bounced back when they hit something. Scientists use special machines to measure and analyze the bounced-back neutrons so they can figure out what's in the ground. They can use this information to help study plants or find water sources.
