Non-profit organization

Okay kiddo, so you know how when we go to the store or buy something, we usually have to pay money for it? Well, that money goes to the people who made or sold the thing we bought.

Now, a non-profit organization is a little bit different. They don't make things or sell things to make money. Instead, they do things to help other people or animals or the environment or something else that needs help.

For example, let's say there's a non-profit organization that helps rescue dogs. They might take in dogs that don't have a home and take care of them until they can find a new family to live with. They might also help teach people how to take care of their dogs, so that they don't end up in a bad situation in the future.

The people who work for the non-profit organization usually don't get paid as much as people who work for regular businesses. That's because the money that the non-profit organization gets from donations and such goes towards helping the dogs, not towards paying the people who work there.

So, the main thing to remember is that a non-profit organization is a group of people who work together to help something or someone that needs help. They don't do it to make money for themselves, they do it to make the world a better place.
