Nonlinear regression is when you use math to figure out how two things are related. It's different than normal regression because the relationship between the two things is not a straight line. In nonlinear regression, the math is a little more complicated because the line between the two things looks like an upside-down ‘U’, like a curve instead of a line. Nonlinear regression can help you figure out how these two things are related even if the relationship is not a straight line.
