ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Normalization (sociology)

Normalization is a process used in sociology to help make sure everyone is treated the same way—no matter who they are. It's a way of making sure everyone has the same rights and opportunities. In other words, it's a way of making sure everyone is treated equally and fairly. For example, if a school puts in place a policy making sure all students have the same resources and opportunities, that's an example of normalization.
