Occupational prestige

Occupational prestige is a way of describing the value or importance that a job has to society. It can be based on things like how much money the job pays, how difficult it is to get the job, or how much respect people have for people that do the job. A job with high prestige is a job that people think is valuable, important and also difficult to do well. Examples of jobs with high prestige are doctors, lawyers, and business executives.
