ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Online shop

An online shop is like a store that you can visit or shop at on the internet. Instead of going to a physical location, you can use a computer or a smartphone to visit the store's website. Once you're on the website, you can look at all the things they sell, like clothes, toys or food, just like when you're in a regular store.

To buy something from an online shop, you usually have to create an account on the website. This means you have to give the store your name, address and maybe even your credit card information. But don't worry! The store will keep all of your information safe and secure.

When you find something you want to buy, you can add it to your "shopping cart" - just like when you're in a regular store. Once you're ready to pay for your items, you can use a credit card or other payment method to complete the purchase.

After you buy something from an online shop, the store will usually ship the item to your house. This means they'll put your item in a box and send it to you through the mail. You usually have to wait a few days for it to arrive, but once it does, you'll have your item right at home!
