Open defecation

Open defecation is basically pooping outside in open spaces like fields, bushes or even on the side of the road. When you go to the bathroom, you use the toilet. You go inside and do your business, wipe, and flush the poop away. However, when people don't have proper access to toilets, they might poop in open spaces. Open defecation is harmful and dangerous as it pollutes the environment and can make people very sick. It can spread diseases like cholera, diarrhea and typhoid. So it's important to have access to toilets and to always remember to wash hands properly after going to the bathroom.
