Open rescue

Open rescue means to help an animal escape an awful situation. It can be used to rescue animals from places like puppy mills (where animals are bred to be sold and kept in bad living conditions) or animal testing laboratories. People involved in open rescue preferably get the animals to a safe place, like a shelter or foster home, where they can be cared for and adopted. Open rescue is when people go in and break the animals out and save them from abuse and neglect.
