Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is a disorder that makes it hard for kids (5 and older) to control their behavior. It can show up in different ways, like arguing a lot with adults, refusing to follow rules at home or school, being very angry and defiant, or simply acting like they don't care what anyone else says. ODD is different than other behavioral issues because it lasts for more than 6 months and can really get in the way of everyday life.
