Organic light emitting diode

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) is like a mini-lightbulb that you can use in different things like phones or TVs. It's kind of like a special magic trick that makes light happen without needing a big lightbulb.

It's made up of different layers that all do different things. One layer is like a special ink that can make light when electricity runs through it. Another layer helps the electricity flow smoothly through the OLED. And there are other layers that help protect the OLED from damage.

When you turn on a device that has an OLED, the electricity flows through the special ink layer and makes it light up. It's like turning on a flashlight but much smaller and if you look really closely, the light might even be a different color.

One really cool thing about OLEDs is that they don't need a lot of power to work. So you can have a bright screen on your phone or TV without using up all the battery. Plus they can even make curved screens or screens that are transparent like glass, which is really neat!
