ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Printed electronics

Printed electronics is a type of technology where electrons (tiny things that make up electricity) are printed onto thin and flexible materials like paper or plastic, like you would ink from a printer. The special ink usually contains tiny electronic components like lasers, transistors, and sensors which can be used to do things like track your location, respond to your surroundings, and store and send data. For example, a medical device might use printed electronics to monitor your heart rate and record the information for your doctor to look at later.
