Origin of birds

Ok kiddo, so a long long time ago there were animals that were like dinosaurs, they were really big and scary looking. But then something happened, some of those animals started to change and they became smaller and lighter. They also started to grow feathers!

These animals started to live in trees and they would jump from branches to branches, just like you do when you play in a treehouse. These animals also started to lay eggs, just like chickens do.

Over many many years, these animals changed so much that they became what we call birds today! They learned how to fly and they started to look even more colorful and beautiful!

So that's how birds came to be, they evolved over time from dinosaurs and became the amazing creatures we see today!
