ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Outer product

Outer product is a way to multiply two numbers, or collections of numbers, together. Imagine you have two rows of numbers, like two rows of dots. The outer product is like connecting the two rows of dots together to make a picture. When you do this, you get a different number for each point where the two rows of dots meet. Those numbers are the outer product of the two rows!
