ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Outreach

Outreach is like sharing your toys with other kids at school. Sometimes, you have fun toys that you want to show your friends, but they don't know about them yet. So you go talk to them and tell them about your cool toys.

Similarly, in outreach, there are certain things that people might not know about, like a new product, a cause, or a service. So people who know about these things want to tell others about them, just like you want to tell your friends about your cool toys. Sometimes, they might go to schools, community centers, or other places where people gather to share this information, just like you might go to your friend's classroom to tell them about your toys.

The purpose of outreach is to help people learn about new things and make sure they have all of the information they need to make good decisions. So just like you help your friends make decisions about which toys to play with, people who do outreach want to help others make decisions about things like what product to buy or which cause to support.
