Overhang (architecture)

An overhang is like a big circle umbrella that sticks out from the roof of a building. When rain or sunlight comes down, the overhang helps protect the area underneath it from getting wet or too hot. Think of it like when you hold an umbrella over your head when it rains, the umbrella keeps you dry. That's what the overhang does for the building! It also looks pretty cool and gives the building a unique style.
