ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

PCoIP

PCoIP stands for "PC-over-Internet-Protocol". It is a technology that helps people work on their computers from far away places where they don’t have their computers with them. For example, let’s imagine you’re at your school, and you need to access your computer, which is sitting at your home. Thanks to PCoIP technology, you can access your computer from your school!

This technology works by using a special program that sends everything that’s happening on your computer screen over the Internet to another computer somewhere else. This means that as you move your mouse and type on the keyboard, those actions are sent to your home computer, which is offsite. It also means that you can see everything that’s happening on your computer at home via your computer screen in your school.

The great thing about PCoIP is that it feels like you're sitting right next to your home computer, even though you're not. This is because PCoIP works really fast, so there’s no lag time, and the audio and video quality are excellent. Even if you're playing a video game, you can use PCoIP technology to play your favorite games, even if your computer is in your room, and you're in the living room.

In summary, PCoIP allows you to use your computer from any location, as long as you have an internet connection. It is similar to carrying your own computer with you, making it possible to have the same experience as if you were sitting in front of your computer at home, but from anywhere in the world!
