ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Thin client

A thin client is like a regular computer, but usually much simpler and smaller. It has just enough computing power for the tasks that it is designed for, which makes it very energy efficient and can save you money in the long run. With a thin client, someone else does most of the work so it can be very quick and easy to use. A thin client is used mostly for accessing the Internet or programs from the “cloud”, which is just another way of saying that the information and software you need is stored on someone else’s computers.
