ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Centralized computing

Centralized computing is like a big organization running on one computer. It means that one computer is used to store, organize and process all of the tasks that are done by the organization. This means that if something needs to be changed or updated, it’s much easier to do it on one computer, instead of a lot of separate computers. It also means that the data and information can be better protected and it makes it easier for people to access the same information no matter where they are.
