Palmas (music)

Palmas is a way of creating music with your hands. You take your right hand and your left hand and you clap them together to make a rhythm. You can do it slow or fast, loud or soft, and you can do it in different patterns to make different kinds of rhythm. It's kind of like playing a drum with your hands, but you're not hitting anything, you're just clapping. People use palmas a lot in Spanish flamenco music to add some extra beat and rhythm to the songs. It's really fun to try it out and see what kind of rhythms you can make with your hands!
