ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Participatory video

Participatory video is a way of making videos where everyone gets to join in and work together. It's like when you and your friends make a video together, but with more people and a bigger purpose.

First, someone will come up with an idea for the video and start talking to different people about it. They will ask them what they think and if they would like to be involved.

Then, everyone who wants to be part of the video will get together and plan out what they want to film. They might have to practice and try different things until they get it just right.

When they are ready, they will start filming the video. Everyone will take turns being in front of the camera and helping to film. They might also use special equipment to make the video look really good.

After they finish filming, they will go through all the footage and choose the best parts. Then they will edit the video, which means putting all the footage together in the right order and adding special effects or music.

Once the video is finished, they will show it to lots of people so everyone can learn something new or feel inspired. Participatory video is a way for everyone to share their ideas and be part of something important!
