Passenger terminal (maritime)

A passenger terminal is like a big building by the place where boats and ships come in and out of the water. Just like how you have a special door to go in and out of your house, boats and ships also have special doors to let people on and off. The passenger terminal is like a special doorway for people to get on and off the boats and ships.

Inside the terminal, there are different things to help make sure people have a good trip. This can include things like seats to sit in while waiting, bathrooms to use, and places to get snacks and drinks. Sometimes, there are even special people there to help you find the right boat or answer questions you might have.

It's kind of like going to visit someone's house, except the house is the boat or ship and the passenger terminal is the special doorway where you go in and out.
