Pata tim

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of pata tim? It's a yummy Filipino dish that is made with a big chunk of pig leg, which is also called "pata" in Filipino.

First, the cook will peel and chop up some onions and garlic cloves. They'll put these in a big pot and add some oil. Then, they'll put the pata in the pot and add some soy sauce, vinegar, and some spices like peppercorns and bay leaves.

After that, they'll add some water to the pot and let everything simmer for a really long time. This makes the meat very tender and juicy.

Sometimes, the cook will also add some vegetables like bok choy or mushrooms to the pot. This makes the dish even more delicious!

When the pata and veggies are cooked, the cook will take them out of the pot and put them on a plate. They'll pour some of the delicious sauce from the pot over the top of the pata.

That's it! Now you have a yummy and filling Filipino dish called pata tim.
