Kare-kare

Kare-kare is a yummy dish that originated in the Philippines. It's like a stew made with meat, vegetables, and a special sauce that makes it taste really good. The meat can be beef, goat, or even fish, and the vegetables usually include eggplants, green beans, and bok choy.

The sauce that makes kare-kare special is called peanut sauce. It's made from ground up peanuts that have been roasted and mashed until they become a paste. Then, it's mixed with other yummy ingredients like onions, tomatoes, and shrimp paste to make a thick and creamy sauce.

To make kare-kare, you start by cooking the meat until it's nice and tender. Then, you add in the vegetables and let them cook with the meat. Finally, you pour the peanut sauce over everything and let it simmer until all the flavors come together.

Kare-kare is often served with rice and a special shrimp paste called bagoong. People like to eat it with their hands or with a spoon and fork. It's a favorite Filipino dish that has been enjoyed for generations and is still enjoyed today.
