Pathogenesis

Pathogenesis is like when someone gets a cold. When someone comes in contact with a virus or bacteria, pathogenesis is the process by which the virus or bacteria make someone sick. It starts when the virus or bacteria get inside your body and your body’s immune system tries to fight it off. But the virus or bacteria can hide and your body can’t always get rid of it. Once the virus or bacteria wins the fight and your body doesn’t get it out, it can start to cause you to feel sick and can even make you very ill. Pathogenesis is like a battle between your body and the virus or bacteria.
