Pep flags

PEP flags are like special signals that tell your body's immune system to start fighting off a virus or bacteria.

Think of your body as a castle, and your immune system as the guards patrolling the walls. When a virus or bacteria tries to attack the castle, the guards need to be alerted to protect it. This is where PEP flags come in.

PEP flags are like little flags that are raised by your cells when they detect something bad, like a virus or bacteria. They wave around and shout "hey, we need help over here!" to the immune system guards.

Once the guards see the PEP flag waving, they know to be on high alert and start fighting off the intruders. They rally the troops (other cells in your immune system) and launch a full-scale attack on the virus or bacteria.

PEP flags are important because they help the immune system respond quickly and effectively to threats. Without them, your body might not even realize it's under attack until it's too late. So next time your cells raise a PEP flag, thank them for keeping your castle safe!
