ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Perception management

Perception management is when you try to control how others think and feel about something. This can be done by using different strategies, such as what kind of information people are given, how they're communicated with, or how they're treated. For example, if a company wanted to make sure people think its products are awesome, they might publish positive ads or create a good reputation through social media. They might also shape how customers interact with the product by making it easy to use and helpful when they need extra help. That way, customers would be more likely to have a positive view of the company.
