Photographic lens

A photographic lens is like glasses that help a camera see things better. You know how looking through glasses can make far away words or pictures look clearer? A lens does the same thing for a camera. It helps the camera focus more clearly on what is being photographed.

A lens has different parts, just like glasses. The front part of the lens is the part that is closest to the thing you want to take a picture of. It helps to collect the light from the object and focus it onto the camera sensor so that the camera can make a picture of it.

There is also an adjustable part called the aperture, which opens and closes to let more or less light into the lens. This is like squinting your eyes to let in less light when it's bright outside, or opening them wide to let in more light when it's dark.

Lenses can also vary in size and shape, just like glasses can. This affects how much of the scene the camera can see at once, and how far away things can be before they start to look blurry.

So, in short, a photographic lens is like a special pair of glasses that helps a camera take clearer pictures by collecting and focusing the light from an object.
