Photometry (optics)

Photometry is a way to measure light. Scientists use it to figure out how bright things are and how much light something is giving off. Photometry helps us understand things like how bright stars are in the night sky and how much light a lamp gives off. To measure something’s light, scientists use special devices called photometers. These devices take pictures of something’s light and then measure the brightness of the light. They also help us figure out if something’s light is fading away or getting brighter. Photometry helps us see things better, so we can understand how the world around us works.
