A photonic molecule is a special kind of molecule made of light particles, called photons. Photons are particles of light that are used to carry information. When two of these particles are put together, they can form a molecule. A photonic molecule is like any other molecule in that it is made up of two atoms joined together, but instead of the atoms being made of protons, neutrons, and electrons like in a normal molecule, the two atoms of a photonic molecule are made of photons instead. Photonic molecules are used for a lot of technology that we use today, like fiber optic cables and lasers.
