Pink tide

Pink tide is a term used to describe a period in which many Latin American countries elected politicians who tried to make changes to their governments and economies to benefit everyday people. These politicians usually tried to reduce inequality and improve things like health care, education, and wages. They also wanted to move away from depending on other countries for development, and to instead work together to build up their own local economies.
