Pirates were sailors that sailed the seas, often stealing goods and attacking other ships. They made their own laws and rules, called the Pirate Code. The Pirate Code said that pirates had to obey the captain and do what he said, share the loot they got from attacking other ships, and be loyal to their crewmates. Sometimes they also had to have fighting and drinking competitions. The most important thing was that they all agreed to look after each other, and no one was ever left behind.
