Plank (exercise)

A plank is a fun exercise where you pretend to be a stiff board like a piece of wood. First, you need to lay down on the ground like you are going to take a nap. Then, you push yourself up onto your elbows and toes. Your arms should be like pillars holding your body up and your spine should be straight like a line. Try to hold this position for as long as you can without letting your belly touch the ground. This is great exercise for your core, which is like the middle part of your body that helps you do things like sit up straight and balance when you walk. It also helps strengthen your arms and legs.
