Sit-up

A sit-up is when you lie down on your back and then you lift your head, shoulders and sometimes your whole torso up towards your knees. It's like doing a really big crunch. When you lift your body up, your abdominal muscles, or tummy muscles, work very hard. These muscles are the ones that help you sit up properly and keep your body stable. Doing sit-ups can help make these muscles very strong, which is good for your overall health and fitness.
