Platform framing

Platform framing is a way of building a house. It happens in steps. First, a foundation is created on the ground. Then, a series of wooden planks called 'platforms' are joined together to make a floor. Next, walls are created by standing up boards of wood or metal on the platform and then nailing them together. Finally, a roof is added by putting long pieces of wood or metal across the top of the walls. The house is then finished off with windows, doors, siding, and other pieces.
