The pollution haven hypothesis is a theory that companies in some parts of the world make their products in countries where there are weaker laws about pollution. This means that companies can make their products without having to spend money on things like expensive machines or special treatments that would keep their factories from polluting the environment. Instead, they use cheaper methods that make more pollution.
