ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Polycentric law

Polycentric law is when a government recognizes that there are many different cultures and ways of doing things in their country and they create laws that reflect that. It's sort of like how in a city you might have a lot of different neighborhoods, and each neighborhood has different kinds of shops and restaurants and people. Each neighborhood has its own unique culture and atmosphere. Polycentric law is like that, it respects the unique cultures and customs of different people in a country. In other words, it allows different cultures to have a voice in how laws are made.
