Polymer engineering

Polymer engineering is all about making things out of long chains of molecules (like very long spaghetti noodles). Imagine that our molecules are like LEGO bricks that we can snap together in many different ways to make all kinds of cool stuff.

Polymer engineering is like being a LEGO master builder, only instead of bricks, we use molecules to build things like plastic bags, toys, toothbrushes, and even car parts! We can mix different molecules together to get different properties, like flexibility, strength, or resistance to heat.

Just like how LEGO bricks can be different colors, we can also make our molecules different colors. This is why we have so many different types and colors of plastics in our world.
