Postprandial dip

Have you ever eaten a big meal and felt really tired afterwards? That's because of something called the postprandial dip, which happens when your body is digesting food.

When you eat, your body sends a lot of blood to your stomach and intestines to help break down food. This means that there's less blood going to your brain and muscles, which can make you feel tired and sluggish.

The postprandial dip usually happens about 30 minutes to an hour after you eat a big meal. But don't worry - it's totally normal and happens to everyone!

To avoid feeling too tired after a meal, try to eat smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day. You can also try to eat foods that are high in protein and fiber, which can help slow down the digestion process and keep you feeling full and energized.
